International Visitor Arrivals to Georgia Reach Over 1.15 Million in Q1 2025

According to the latest data from the Georgian National Tourism Administration, Georgia recorded 1,157,347 international visits in the first quarter of 2025, reflecting a 1.3% increase compared to the same period last year.

Out of the total, 958,947 were tourist visits (up 2.2% year-over-year), while 213,389 were same-day visits (down 2.4% year-over-year).

As in previous years, the highest number of visitors came from neighboring countries, with Turkey, Russia, and Armenia topping the list.

  • Iran – 26,859 visits (-6.8%)

  • India – 26,372 visits (+27.7%)

  • Ukraine – 24,192 visits (-1.4%)

  • Kazakhstan – 21,625 visits (-22.4%)

  • Belarus – 17,377 visits (+0.8%)

  • China – 13,875 visits (+40.1%)

  • Philippines – 10,300 visits (-2.4%)

  • Germany – 10,212 visits (-7.2%)

  • Poland – 10,165 visits (-13.4%)

  • Uzbekistan – 10,151 visits (+2.9%)

Tourism Revenue Surpasses USD 826 Million

During the same period, tourism revenues reached USD 826 million, representing a 2.3% increase compared to the first quarter of 2024. This continued growth highlights the resilience of Georgia’s tourism sector and its increasing contribution to the national economy.
